Frontiers & Beyond…
time to take the carpets out and pound them out and change the window dressing around here. enough inside talk about journey – there were questions people had that i wanted to answer for them, but the drama should come to a close at this point. i’m a fan, like most of you reading this blog, and i look forward to seeing them next year on the road.
so onto other things now! this sunday for the first time since August 4th, the guys from frontiers got together to kick around some tunes and get back into shape. since our first show is only about 3 weeks away, we were overdue to get back into practice. thanks to our buddy al, we now have a somewhat permanent rehearsal space equipped with heat, televisions, and even a bedroom. our guitarist barry is excited about the prospect of starting up a brothel during our off-time in the rehearsal space. ladies, i hear he’s accepting applications as we speak…
so wow, i hadn’t sang any steve perry songs in more than two months, and this weekend i realized there’s a part of my voice that i never have to use unless i’m singing those songs. it made me realize that i’d better get back into practice and accelerate the wellbutrin to kick those pesky cigarettes to the curb again. we’re looking forward to bringing about 4 new songs into the set, and yes, perhaps even an augeri-era tune.
also been spending some time lately reaching out to my old writing partner from sweden, and getting acquainted with a new writing partner based on the west coast. both of these guys are amazing talents, and it’s good to get the old gray matter working again on some melody and lyrics. when the source material is so good, sometimes the songs virtually write themselves…but we’re looking forward to pounding out a few tunes and seeing what happens with it.
sabrina and quinn are doing great!! quinn’s been smiling all the time now. he’s such a well mannered baby, it is really amazing. actually, we were a little worried at first because he had been so well behaved and so mild, but it appears he’s just doing very, very well. hope to maybe get some new baby video edited by this weekend for those interested.
weather here in virginia can’t make up it’s mind. as long as heating oil is over $3 a gallon, it can stay september forever, as far as i’m concerned.
peace & have a great week to all…

Better get the pipes in order dude. The next show is just around the corner. I’ll look forward to seeing one soon. Tell Barry I like the idea–tell him I got a few $$$$’s for a want ad if he needs it.
Glad that things are getting in order. Can’t wait to hear the sound of Frontiers” once again. Jim Aust
Jeremy,
I don’t know you from Adam.
But your stories about Journey seem sincere and your devotion to your family heartfelt.
I applaud you for doing what you had to do for your family and not ignoring them for a shot at fame, no matter how fleeting.
I really don’t understand the negative comments you have received from others. I just can’t be as emotional as your detractors obviously are about situations I’ll never have a personal stake in. (And I’d wager they don’t have a personal stake in them either, just some kind of misplaced loyalty.)
I salute your attitude and the fact you seem to have your head and heart in the right place. Family always comes first, as far as I am concerned.
I have downloaded the Frontiers show you have available on the website and would love to see you guys, but I don’t think you will ever make it to the Dallas area.
Oh, well…
Have a great Thanksgiving.
